As our first museum experience, we decided to stop into the free Carbon County Historical Museum in Rawlins, WY.  Located on a slow and shady avenue, we pulled over and made our way inside for a fun and interesting hour.  One of the attractions was the left over pieces of Big Nose George, hanged for a murder he might or might not have committed, his ears were ripped off in the process.

A real find was tucked away in the “garage” with dusty wagons.  It was a series of old photographs, featuring the players and raconteurs who ran around central Wyoming in the late 1800s.

Rebecca was most interested in learning details about the many interwoven trails towards the West in the late 1800’s and she posed with Harry Sinclair’s (a native Wyomingite) dinosaur out front.
